Hello,
I installed Windows7 on my p1510. It works pretty well and seems faster than my old XP tablet system. Wonderful !I'm very happy with it. The only problem I have is about the screen resolution when turning the screen panel. Screen resolution is setting at 1024x600 pixels. No problem when use like a normal notebook. But each time I tried to turn the screen panel (like a tablet), the screen resolution automaticaly switch to 1024x768. This is not what I want. Then I have to go into the screen resolution parameters to get it back at 1024x600 pixels.
Could someone help ? I tried to resolve this problem by re-installing the driver but I didn't work.
Thanks in advance for your answers. |

@stumms For aero, you can try: control panel -> system -> advanced system settings -> advanced -> settings (under performance) -> visual effects and turn on the appropriate functions. |

Still no luck? Has anybody got visual task tips to work on xp or vista or windows 7? I wish there was a way to get aero to work because this ugly baby blue is driving me crazy. I also was wondering if anybody ever got pen flicks to work? Maybe the machine would be better on xp then do a windows 7 transformation visual so you could have the best of both worlds?? |

About Aero I'd bet the graphics chip on the 1510 is too old and doesn't support the APIs required to run it... thus not being able to activate it.
Works fine on the P1620, activated by default, but it has a newer chipset. And while the desktop animations work fine you can't ask it too much either, for example the overlays in Windows Media center already make it grind to a halt everytime it "tries" to play the nice effects.
P1620 - 2GB, 120GB/5400rpm HD, 32GB Transcend 133x CF + Delkin UDMA, hacked internal 3G, W7RC |
